American singer and entertainer Wayne Newton, best known by the nicknames "The Midnight Idol", "Mr. Las Vegas" and Mr. "Entertainment," obviously felt the need to remain ageless and entered into the vain and risky world of plastic surgery.
Newton, 71, is estimated to have had overdone several plastic surgery procedures such as a facelift, eyelid surgery, nose job, Botox and probably filler injections.
Newton likely had a facelift in the past. Judging by his recent photos, it appears that his facial skin seems way too tight, stretched and frozen. Someone usually will experience saggy skin, some wrinkles or other aging signs at 70 years old. So, it is impossible that Wayne's face is natural.
In addition to a facelift, Wayne Newton was also accused to have double eyelid surgery. As a result, one of Wayne's eyes looks slightly smaller than the other eye.
Although Wayne has not talked about the plastic surgery rumors, his smooth and feminine facial appearance indicates that he possibly has undergone some filler injections and botox.
Judging by the before and after pictures, it is possible that he has undergone a nose job in the past. The recent images show that his nose looks swollen and unnaturally big at the tip. In addition, the shape of his nose seems irregular.
His eyebrows are elevated too much, a possible indication of several botox injections, which makes the "frozen forehead" (removal of wrinkles and unnaturally smooth forehead). His jaw line is also too sharp for his age.
His lips are incredibly puffy, possibly a sign of collagen injections put into his lips.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California was quoted as saying: "Wayne Newton appears to have had a blepharoplasty, facelift, Botox, facial fillers, and possibly a rhinoplasty at one point. His work appears a bit overdone, and he would not benefit from any additional procedures at this time."
Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer revealed: "Wayne Newton appears like he has had several facial procedures done such as a face, brow and eyelid lifts. His nose appears irregular in shape and most likely has been worked on as well. His eyelid lift or blepharoplasty in my opinion was way too aggressive and is the main reason for his unnatural look. It will be difficult to correct his eyes because he does not have much skin left in his upper eyelids, but it is possible. The procedure would be similar to a Double Eyelid Surgery that is often performed an Asian patients that only have a single fold to their eyelid."
The tragic thing is that people who have known Wayne Newton in his early years have stated that he now looks like a completely different person and they wouldn't even recognize him if they didn't know it was him.
Some people make fun of Newton calling him "a Joan Rivers brother", because both of them have unnaturally and "plastic" looking faces.
No doubt that Newton would look better if decided to stay natural and age gracefully.
