Aaron Carter Rehab

Aaron Carter's effort to revive his music career has led him to rehab.

According to his rep, Carter, who was tweeting in October about "working on my mind, music, and body for a new album release" has entered a rehabilitation center in January 2011.

"Several months ago, Aaron came to me to help him return to music and to restart his career. He has been in Orlando working on a new album and perfecting his live show and his physical body," his manager, Johnny Wright, revealed to E! Online.

"Aaron, understanding the challenges and hard work it would take to get himself back to the top, requested to take some time before we started to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with," Wright continued, noting: "Therefore he has chosen to enter a facility where he feels he will get the guidance and cleansing he needs that will help him on the music journey he's about to take."

According to E!, Carter went to a private treatment center in Southern California, where he received help for "addiction issues" following the advice of his family and pals.

Carter shared a shirtless photo on twitter, flaunting his toned body, which he got from running and doing "1,000 situps (and) 1,000 pushups!"

In March 2011 Wright dismissed a twitter rumor that Aaron had passed away from a drug overdose. He told E!: "Aaron Carter is alive and well at my compound in Orlando…"

Shortly after the rehab news broke, Carter tweeted: "The main thing in life is not to be afraid of being human."

It has to be noted that Carter is no stranger to addictions as he was busted for marijuana possession in 2008.

Thakfully, Carter has battled his addictions with the helping hand of the Betty Ford Center. He successfully completed a month-long treatment program and there is no relapse since then!
