"Superman" Teams Up With "Batman" Movie Set For 2015

It was reported at Comic-Con on Saturday that "Batman" will team up with "Superman" in a 2015 follow-up to "Man of Steel".

The film will be directed by Zack Snyder and feature Henry Cavill reprising his role as "Superman", although Bruce Wayne/Batman has not been cast.

Christian Bale, who played Gotham's Caped Crusader in director Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, is not expected to suit up again.

The Los Angeles Times was the first to report the news, which is expected to be confirmed by Warner Bros. shortly.

There are also tentative plans for a Flash movie in 2016, followed by a Justice League film in 2017.

While they have partnered in the comics and cartoons in past decades, "Batman" and "Superman" have never shared a major live-action movie before.

DC Comics hopes the union of its biggest characters in a single movie will mirror the success Marvel had with "The Avengers", an all-star grouping of superheroes that generated a staggering $1.5 billion at the box office last year.

Are you looking forward to watching "Superman" and "Batman" together?
