Robin Williams Dead At 63

Robin Williams has passed away in a suspected suicide. He was 63.

Williams was found inside his property in Tiburon, California on Monday.

The Oscar winner was unconscious and not breathing.

The coroner thinks that the comedian committed suicide by asphyxiation.

Williams' wife, Susan Schneider, said in a statement: "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken. On behalf of Robin's family, we are asking for privacy during our time of profound grief. As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."

A spokesperson revealed: "Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."

Williams struggled with substance abuse issues in the 1980s but had been sober for two decades.

Last month, the legendary actor visited a rehabilitation center to focus on maintaining his sobriety.

On Monday, police received a 911 call at approximately 11:55 am reporting that Williams was unconscious in his home.

First responders were sent and Williams was pronounced dead at 12:02 pm.

According to the Sheriff's Office, the coroner "suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but a comprehensive investigation must be completed."

Williams is survived by his wife and three children Zelda, Cody and Zachary.
