Lana Del Rey Cancels Europe Concerts Due To Mystery Illness

Lana Del Rey has just called off all of her concerts in Europe, due to a mystery illness.

"For medical reasons independent of our will, the artist (Lana Del Rey) has been forced to cancel all promotional activities planned in Europe over the coming days," Del Rey's record labels Polydor and Universal said in a joint statement.

Del Rey, 29, also cancelled a Tuesday appearance on BBC Radio 1's Lounge.

BBC Radio 1 claimed on twitter on Monday: "We are very sorry to announce that @LanaDelRey has had to cancel her Live Lounge appearance tomorrow due to illness," noting that she "really wanted to perform, but it is sadly not possible, and she is devastated to have to cancel. Get well soon Lana!"

Del Rey, who cancelled two private concerts in Paris last week, has previously talked about her struggles with an unidentified illness.

In an interview published in June, Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, was quoted as saying: "I'd been sick on tour for about two years with this medical anomaly that doctors couldn't figure out," adding: "That's a big part of my life: I just feel really sick a lot of the time and can't figure out why."
