Survivor Lead Singer Jimi Jamison Dead At 63

Jimi Jamison, the frontman of the platinum selling bands Cobra and Survivor, has died of a heart attack. He was 63.

After the demise of Cobra in 1983/84, Jamison was invited to join Survivor following their big hit "Eye of the Tiger," helping to propel the group to additional successes such as "Is This Love?" and "Burning Heart" from Rocky IV.

Jamison also was the voice and cowriter of "I'm Always Here," mostly known as the theme song for the hit TV show "Baywatch."

Before his Survivor stint, Jamison performed with ZZ Top, Joe Walsh and many others.
