Leonardo DiCaprio Donates Banksy Art Piece For amfAR Gala 2015

Leonardo DiCaprio attended amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS Gala, which took place during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival on Thursday at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes, France.

DiCaprio, 40, donated a prized art piece by Banksy entitled "Copper On Cardboard" from his personal art collection at the gala, which raised $33.4 million (£19m) to beat AIDS.

Sharon Stone is a regular host at the auction but was nowhere to be spotted, leading some guests to speculate that her absence was linked to persisting rumors about her ill health.

Stone, 57, dismissed the rumors by telling to The Associated Press that she could not attend "due to work commitments".

"I am grateful that on this - my 20th year with amfAR - we have become a solid community that has grown to the point of functioning and succeeding in fundraising and  HIV/AIDS awareness," Sharon said in a statement.

Jake Gyllenhaal, Sienna Miller, Marion Cotillard and Adrien Brody also attended the fundraiser, which was hosted by supermodel Karlie Kloss.
