Met Gala 2017 Theme Is "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons"
The 2017 Met Ball will take place in three days and the theme has been announced!
The theme is "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons" and it is going to be the first time since 1983 that the special event will focus on a living fashion designer.
Costume and Institute curator Andrew Bolton revealed to Vogue: "Rei Kawakubo is one of the most important and influential designers of the past forty years. By inviting us to rethink fashion as a site of constant creation, recreation, and hybridity, she has defined the aesthetics of our time."
The 2017 Met Gala is set to occur on Monday, May 1 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The 2017 Met Ball will be co-chaired by Anna Wintour, Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry.
