R. Kelly Makes History At Soul Train Awards

R. Kelly has just made Soul Train history.

Kelly became the most nominated act in the history of the Soul Train Awards this morning when he was nominated for the Album of the Year and the Ashford & Simpson songwriter’s award.

Kelly’s two nominations for the 2012 Soul Train Awards bring his career total up to 21 nominations. The singer may be the most nominated in Soul Train history but he doesn’t have the most wins. R. Kelly has taken home eight Soul Train Awards, including Best R&B Soul Album Awards in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2004, during his career. Janet Jackson, who has been nominated 19 times, has the most wins at the award show with 13. Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Mariah Carey are the only other performers with more wins than R. Kelly.

It has to be noted that Usher, Estelle, Nas, Trey Songz, and John Legend are all up for multiple awards this year. Usher leads the nomination count with five.

According to the Canada Press, two late singers are also up for awards this year. Whitney Houston is nominated for best gospel inspirational performance and Amy Winehouse is nominated for best international performance.

It has to be mentioned that the Soul Train Awards will be taped on November 8th at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. The show, which will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, will air on  November 25 on BET.

Amy Winehouse Estate: 2 Posthumous Albums Release !

The collaboration between Nas and Amy Winehouse on "Cherry Wine" wasn't the last you'd heard of the late  Winehouse!

To be more specific, in a recent interview with BBC 6 Music, Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, revealed that there are plans underway to release not one, but possibly two, posthumous albums from the fallen U.K. singer. This is in part due to the fact that there's unreleased material which wasn't used on last year's "Lioness: Hidden Treasures collection".

Mitch Winehouse quoted as saying: "I'm not sure that there is much more but I'm sure that we will get at least one other album out, if not two. There are loads of covers, loads of them, but the problem is we don't want want to rip anybody off. When her fans are so precious to us we don’t want to put out dross."

We bet that Amy did an amazing job! What do you think?

Amy Winehouse's Dad On "Amy, My Daughter" Book: "Blake Fielder-Civil Is Responsible For Amy's Death"

Amy Winehouse's dad reveals the depth of his hatred for Blake Fielder-Civil in a new book about Amy's life and premature death.

A year after she was found dead in her apartment from an accidental alcohol overdose, Mitch Winehouse wrote "Amy, My Daughter" to show how much he was devastated by Amy's loss and the years of conflict he had with her allegedly drug addicted ex husband.

It has to be noted that Amy first met Fielder-Civil in a pub in Camden, London, and from the start she was addicted to him, and even though she knew he had another girlfriend, she still had his name tattooed on her breast within a month.

Mitch's first impression of Blake was a bad one when he caught him passionately kissing Amy in the middle of a crowded bar, and it got even worse when he discovered he did cocaine even though Amy was "dead against class-A "chemical" drugs."

In spite of dumping him due to his heroin habit and cheating ways, Winehouse was soon back with the inspiration to "Back To Black" – an album which her dad disliked because of that, and the couple rapidly spiraled out of control.

By 2007, Amy was dating him full-time and Mitch gave him a second chance, calling to him a "respectful guy, if a bit scruffy," but "I couldn't have been more wrong, he admitted. "In the light of what happened later, I'm pretty sure that Amy had started smoking heroin and crack cocaine by then, but at the time I had no idea."

When Amy was hospitalized from a seizure later that year Blake didn't even bother calling her after she had her stomach pumped, her dad reveals, and when he persuaded the couple to go for addiction treatment at Osea Island Blake took him aside and claimed: "I have no intention of getting clean, I like being a drug addict."

Mitch's relationship with Blake's mother and step-father, Georgette and Giles, was just as tumultuous and turned into an ongoing family feud that regularly landed in the tabloids.

When Fielder-Civil was arrested in November 2007 for perverting the course of justice after allegedly manipulating a witness in his upcoming assault trial, Amy was famously seen sobbing: "Baby, I love you. I'll be fine," as he was led away in handcuffs.

That night his parents barged into Mitch's house and screamed: "You grassed Blake!" and after Giles called Amy a "bitch", her dad lost it and punched him in the face in what ended up being a mass brawl.

Blake was soon sent to Pentonville Prison, and while Mitch hated seeing Amy so sad he hoped it meant she would finally get clean...

The troubled marriage finally came to an end in 2009, and one of the last straws was Blake texting her dad from behind bars asking for money. "You are trying to buy your daughter's divorce. Stop hiding Amy's money. I want a contract."

After Amy's death on July 23, 2011 at age 27, Blake played the role of mourning ex from prison, telling the Sun newspaper: "I’m beyond inconsolable … my tears won’t dry." He continued: "I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her. Everybody who knew me and knew Amy knew the depth of our love. I can’t believe she’s dead."

According to reports, Blake next dated a teenage pre-op transsexual who worked as a Winehouse impersonator and now has a son with girlfriend, Sarah Aspin.

What do you think?
Has Blake really loved Amy?

This affair was certainly karmic...But the sad thing is that Amy was self-destructive.There was something deeply troubled in Amy and she chose not to deal with it...Drugs was her choice. Bad one though...

Amy Winehouse's Home On Sale !

Following her passing on July 23 last year, Amy Winehouse's Camden house was swamped with thousands of mourners wishing to pay tribute to the troubled star.

But the home where Amy Winehouse lived and died is reportedly being sold by her father Mitch for £2.7million.

The impressive Camden property, which is 2,500 square feet, has been listed just ten months after Amy died from alcohol poisoning.

It has to be noted that the online estate agent describe the property as a "Substantial and impressive three double bedroom, three reception room semi detached period villa with well-proportioned private front and rear gardens, directly overlooking Camden Square and its communal gardens."

The agent makes no mention of former owner Amy, who suffered from alcohol and drug addiction for the last years of her life.

It has to be mentioned that the site notes the property has  undergone major structural and cosmetic refurbishment retaining many original features with modern upgrades including, new electrical and heating systems, integrated sound system, CCTV and magnetically secured front gate and an impressive Master Suite with vaulted ceiling.

A spokesperson for Mitch Winehouse told MailOnline: "The Winehouses have decided to put the house on the market, with great regret. Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it. It was not practical to keep it empty while paying for its upkeep. It is a wonderful place and will be a happy family home for someone."

It had been thought the property would be used by the "Amy Winehouse Foundation", which was set up by her father following her passing.

Shortly after Amy's death last year a source close to the family told The Sun: "They think it's too precious to give up hence the new HQ idea. They don't want to rent it out. And if they sold they think it could attract the wrong kind of buyer as it was where Amy passed away."

According to the paper Mitch bought the home for Amy in April 2010 paying £1.8million.

In the days after Amy's death fans flocked outside her home to pay tribute to her in their own way. While many laid flowers, pictures and gifts other were seen drinking and dancing to celebrate her life.

It has to be said that on the day of the funeral well-wishers celebrated her life with a party.

Meanwhile Amy's neighbours want to plant a rose garden in her memory to mark the first anniversary of her death.

Locals hope "Amy's Garden" will be a fitting tribute to the tragic star, who died last July aged 27.

They plan to ask her dad Mitch to open it in Camden Gardens, opposite her north London pad, which is now on the market for £2.7 million.

Friend Karl St Claire stated: "Amy loved roses so the neighbours have been talking about chipping in and planting a rosebush for her and maybe getting a bench either side so people can go and sit there. They want to ask Mitch to plant it."

"I think it would be a lovely place for people to go and remember her rather than hanging around outside her house and her memory really will live on" Claire added.

One neighbour quoted as saying : "It felt a bit threatening in the days after Amy died, but it seems to have quietened down a lot now.You get groups of fans out there, but they're mainly tourists. You still get a few freaky people, but it is Camden.I feel sorry for whoever moves into her house though. I wouldn't want to live there. People are always outside it and ringing the bell. It would drive me mad."

Dionne Bromfield: Amy Winehouse's Goddaughter Talks About Amy And Her Music Career !

Dionne Bromfield strikes a pose for a feature in Flaunt's "The Psychoanalytic Issue: Behavioral Patterns".

The 16-year-old singer and goddaughter of the late Amy Winehouse revealed to the mag:

On her godmother: "Amy used to call me her older sister, and I never understood why. I have seen the world through Amy. I know what is right and what is wrong. I love what I am doing. I look at it like a bundle of fun."

On growing up as a pop star: "I went to an all-girls school and they were b-tchy. Someone found out that Amy was my godmother and came right in my face and said, "Oh, so Amy Winehouse is your godmother? Well, Britney Spears is mine!" I have moved to a performance school now and everyone is very supportive there."

On the songs she writes: "My album is basically a massive gossip column about other people’s lives. I would say it is 80 percent about people and 20 percent is me. I like to observe the right- and wrong-doings of others."

Dionne Bromfield is so beautiful and sweet! Hope that she will make a huge career like Amy!

Amy Winehouse's Blood Painting To Be Auctioned!

Along with pieces from Pete Doherty’s On Blood: A Portrait of the Artist exhibition , which consists of drawings/paintings using copious amounts of Doherty’s blood , a painting done by Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty using Amy’s blood will be auctioned off Friday evening at London’s Cobb Gallery.

From since when blood stains are considered art now?

A new celeb trend ??

It has to be mentioned that the piece, titled "Ladylike", is not even owned by Doherty and is being auctioned by a private seller.

This is terrible! Only sick people would want a dead musician's blood on their wall! I hope Amy's dad prevent this! This is not respectful at all!

What do you think?

Amy Winehouse's Dad And Kelly Osbourne Against Jean Paul Gaultier !

Designer Jean Paul Gaultier paid homage to singer Amy Winehouse's unique style at his "Paris Haute Couture Runway Show" earlier this week.

But Amy's father, Mitch Winehouse, is quite frustrated that his daughter's image is being exploited to sell clothes.
"We don't support the Jean Paul Galtier [sic] collection. It's in bad taste," the elder Winehouse tweeted.

"The family was upset to see those pictures. They were a total shock," he also told The Sun. "We're still grieving for her loss, and we've had a difficult week with the six-month anniversary of Amy's death."

Amy's dad felt it was inappropriate to try and cash in on his daughter's legacy. "To see her image lifted wholesale to sell clothes was a wrench we were not expecting or consulted on…We're proud of her influence on fashion but find black veils on models, smoking cigarettes with a barbershop quartet singing her music in bad taste."

Mitch said the looks in Gaultier's show portrayed "a view of Amy when she was not at her best, and [glamorized] some of the more upsetting times in her life."

Kelly Osbourne, a close friend of the "Rehab" singer, agreed. "Although @JPGaultier was paying homage to my friend & icon to the world, I found it to be lucratively selfish and distasteful," she tweeted. "Exploitation=evil."

Amy Winehouse As Michael Jackson!!!

While I was  surfing on the web, I found this video on You Tube.
Unbeleivable! I didn't know that Amy Winehouse was a
Michael Jackson fan!
I love the fact that she tried to sing something completely different from what she usually sang. Nice try indeed!

Many people didn't like at all Amy's effort to sing "Beat it"
by Michael Jackson, judging by the negative comments that got on You Tube.

In my opinion many people generally don't like it when very famous singers attempt to sing songs by other popular singers as well...They become really mean! I beleive that happens because they are very get used to the original version.

What do you think of Amy's "Beat it"version??

Before you judge, please be open minded & if you are not familiar with her version, give it a second listening. Maybe, you'll change your mind...Who knows??
