Malala Yousafzai Wins Nobel Peace Prize

It was announced on Friday that Malala Yousafzai has won the Nobel Peace Prize, becoming the youngest person to win the noteworthy award.

The committee cited the 17-year-old Pakistani's "struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education."

Yousafzai was 15 when she was shot in the head in 2012 by the Taliban for defending girls' rights to education.

After that shocking incident, she founded her own organization, "The Malala Fund", which focuses on empowering girls through schooling.

In August, Justin Bieber did a FaceTime video chat with Yousafzai and was touched by her story and organization.

Congratulations to Malala Yousafzai!
