Joni Mitchell Hospitalized After Being Found Unconscious

According to several reports, Joni Mitchell was hospitalized on Tuesday after being found unresponsive at her Los Angeles home.  






Paramedics responded to a 911 call at around 2:30pm and Mitchell, 71, was alert on her way to the hospital. 


It is unclear yet what led to the emergency.







According to celebrity website TMZ, the legendary singer was placed in intensive care, where she stayed late on Tuesday afternoon, and her medical status appears serious. 


Just in case you are not familiar with Joni Mitchell, she is an eight-time Grammy Award winning performer who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 1997. She is best known for her songs "Woodstock", "Big Yellow Taxi" and "River."
