Kevin McHale: "Glee Never Came Back From Cory Monteith's Death" (VIDEO)

Kevin McHale recently revealed that "Glee" never "came back" from Cory Monteith's tragic death.  








In case you don't know, "Glee" ended in March after six seasons. 

The popular show was extremely successful in its early years, but both content quality and viewers decreased in the later seasons. 

After Cory's shocking passing from an accidental drug overdose in 2013, creator Ryan Murphy admitted he had to change how he had envisioned the series finale.

In a candid new interview with "The HuffPost Show" about the show's demise, McHale, 26, was asked when the show "jumped the shark," and while he first hesitated, the star finally responded: "I will say, not to bring it down or anything, when Cory Monteith died, I don't think the show ever came back from that".

The actor went on: "It wasn't for a lack of trying, but the story was going in one direction with his character and he was one of two main characters of the show. So, I think after that, the vibe on set is different."

Kevin claimed: "It was just weird for us being there, never mind actually having to be filming. Being one of the writers in that sort of situation, I wouldn't know what I what have done because I was like: "I don't really even want to be here," never mind having to think of stories revolving around these characters anymore."


McHale was also asked about a possible spinoff, urging him to self-deprecatingly state: "Towards the end, there weren't that many people watching "Glee." So I don't know how many people would then watch a spinoff. We're off the air for a reason."
