Kim Kardashian Sues YouTube Founder Over Leaked Kanye West Proposal Video

Kim Kardashian is filing a lawsuit against YouTube's co-founder for allegedly leaking footage of Kanye West's proposal.


Just in case you have missed it, clip of West down on one knee was posted online via new video company MixBit in the days after West proposed at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

In a lawsuit, Kardashian claims Chad Hurley, who co-founded both YouTube and MixBit, is the man behind the leak.







According to legal documents, Kardashian explains Hurley wasn't even invited to the event, which was planned as a surprise party for her 33rd birthday with her closest pals and family in attendance, but tricked his way in.

When Hurley was granted permission to stay, Hurley signed a confidentiality agreement and was even pictured holding the contract.






Kardashian reveals that didn't stop him from attempting "to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else."

The lawsuit notes that Hurley not only published the footage online, but tweeted it to his 900,000-plus followers and even sent out a press release heralding the video.





The documents also prove that official proposal video was intended to be broadcast on Kardashian's reality show.

According to celebrity website TMZ, Kardashian is suing Chad Hurley for unspecified damages.
