Mariah Carey On "American Idol": "It Was Like Going To Work Every Day In Hell, With Satan" (VIDEO)

Mariah Carey was not obviously happy being a judge on "American Idol."

In a new interview with Angie Martinez of Hot 97, Carey, 44, spoke out about her tumultuous stint on the reality music show.

"Honestly, I hated it," Carey admitted of the experience, describing how it wound up being far different than what she expected.

At one point, Mariah joked: "It was like going to work every day in hell, with Satan," referring to fellow judge Nicki Minaj.
