Nigella Lawson And Charles Saatchi Preliminary Divorce
Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi are on their way to a quick divorce.
On Wednesday, London's High Court granted the estranged pair a preliminary divorce judgment.
In six weeks, the celebrity chef and the co-founder of the Saatchi & Saatchi ad agency can look for a decree absolute, which would finalize the legal separation.
Neither party was in court for the hearing.
Although Saatchi announced his intentions to divorce Lawson earlier this month, it was basically Nigella who officially filed to put an end on their marriage.
In paperwork dated July 10, the host of foodie TV show "The Taste" seeks the divorce based on her husband's "unreasonable behavior."
The couple's breakup comes 10 years after they tied the knot, and a month and a half Saatchi was pictured choking Lawson at a restaurant.
Saatchi initially downplayed the incident, but later admitted to the assault.
