Jennifer Lopez To Portray Undercover Cop In "Shades Of Blue" On NBC

Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to portray an undercover cop on "Shades of Blue," an upcoming NBC drama that's been given a straight-to-series order.


Lopez, 44, will play Harlee McCord, a single mom and detective who's recruited to work for the FBI's anti-corruption task force.

According to the network's description of Lopez's role, "she becomes compromised by her colleagues - all of whom also pitch in to help her raise her daughter - and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself."

"Shades of Blue" is being expected for the 2015-16 season.


It's been given a 13-episode order.
