Bill Cosby Applauds Eddie Murphy For Not Playing Him On "SNL 40"

Bill Cosby has issued a statement now that news emerged that Eddie Murphy refused to impersonate him in a sketch during "Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Celebration" last weekend.  



"I am very appreciative of Eddie and I applaud his actions," Cosby, 77, who has numerous sexual assault claims against him, said in a statement to NBC.

Instead of playing characters or telling jokes to the audience, Murphy, 53, simply spoke on stage for a few moments.
