Patricia Arquette Defends Her Equality Comments At The 2015 Academy Awards
Oscar winner Patricia Arquette has defended the remarks she made backstage at the 2015 Academy Awards on Sunday about equal pay for females in relation to other minority groups.
Arquette, 46, was quoted as saying: "And it's time for all the women in America and all the men that love women, and all the gay people, and all the people of color that we've all fought for to fight for us now," which stemmed from her acceptance speech.
"I have long been an advocate for the rights of the #LBGT community. The question is why aren't you an advocate for equality for ALL women?" the "Boyhood "actress wrote in a number of tweets on Monday.
