Peter Facinelli And Jaimie Alexander Engaged (Proposal Photos)

Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander are officially engaged.

Facinelli, 41, proposed at the Empire State Building earlier this week.

The engagement comes more than two years after the two started dating, in the wake of the actor's separation from "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Jennie Garth.

In case you don't know, Facinelli and Garth were in a relationship for more than 15 years and married for more than 10 when they broke up in 2012. The former couple have three daughters together: Luca, Lola, and Fiona. Garth said then that the split was not something she wanted.

Facinelli met Alexander on the set of the movie "Loosies" and they later collaborated on his series "Nurse Jackie," in which she was a guest star.

This marks Alexander's first marriage.

Facinelli wrote on his twitter account: "Had fun @empirestatebldg with @JaimieAlexander
Top of the world…," posting a photo.

Alexander shared a shot of the two kissing and wrote: "Top of the world with my love @peterfacinelli @empirestatebldg #Love #ES."
