Katy Perry Blasts Journalist For Re-Purposing 3-Year-Old Interview About Russell Brand

Katy Perry has taken to social media to set the record straight that a recent interview that was published, in which she clearly opens up about her ex Russell Brand, was actually re-purposed from an interview done three years ago.


"It's really inappropriate when journalists repurpose interviews done 3 yrs ago in context of promoting a film & then stamp a new date on it," Perry, 30, tweeted.

The Daily Telegraph interview included quotes saying Perry hadn't talked to Brand since he texted her about wanting a divorce years ago.
