G.R.L. Breaks Up Months After Simone Battle's Suicide
The girl band G.R.L (Lauren Bennett, Natasha Slayton, Emmalyn Estrada and Paula van Oppen) has broken up.
"Nearly 9 months following the tragic death of band member Simone Battle, girl group G.R.L. announces today that they are disbanding," Kemosabe Records, RCA Records, Larry Rudolph and Robin Antin shared in a statement (via Billboard), adding: "We wish them continued success in each of their next creative endeavors."
Last year one of their bandmates, Simone Battle, committed suicide at the age of 25.
