Julia Roberts Cancels Jimmy Kimmel Appearance After Sister's Death

Julia Roberts called off a scheduled appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" after her sister Nancy Motes was found dead of an apparent drug overdose on Monday.


Roberts, 46, was planning to promote "August: Osage County" on Monday's show, but canceled the interview in the wake of her family's tragedy.

Ethan Hawke, 43, and Julie Delpy, 44, filled in for Roberts.



According to reports, Roberts also skipped the Oscar Nominees Luncheon on Monday.


Julia's half-sister was the daughter of Roberts' mom Betty Lou and her stepfather Michael Motes.
