Shia LaBeouf Abruptly Leaves Berlin Press Conference (PHOTOS - VIDEO)
Shia LaBeouf bolted out of a press conference for his new film "Nymphomaniac" at the Berlin International Film Festival on Sunday.
LaBeouf, making his first formal appearance in nearly a year, was on stage with Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Stellan Skarsgard and director Lars von Trier when he was asked about the project's sex scenes.
LaBeouf, 27, took a drink of water and responded: "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much."
Shia then got up and left abruptly stage amid a smattering of applause and laughs, including some from his colleagues.
Not shockingly, neither the quote nor the walk-off was original, but a near carbon-copy of an incident with French soccer player Eric Cantona back in 1995.
Last month, LaBeouf revealed his recent conduct was all carefully-constructed "performance art."
