Eddie Redmayne Talks Playing Stephen Hawking And Benedict Cumberbatch

Eddie Redmayne graces the cover of Elle UK magazine's January 2015 issue, on newsstands December 4.



Redmayne, 32, opened up about playing Stephen Hawking after good friend Benedict Cumberbatch: "I'd heard Ben's performance was extraordinary so I decided not to watch it because I'd have been tempted to steal from it."

Eddie also shared with the magazine about being a model turned actor: "I read a review recently that said: "Who knew Eddie Redmayne was more than just a pout?" You think: "Nice you've recognized that, but at the same time that's 10 years of work you've just dismissed as pouting.""
