Mickey Rooney Dead At 93

Mickey Rooney has passed away. He was 93.  




Rooney's passing was first reported by TMZ.

Rooney's career spanned decades, starting with his run as one of the biggest child stars in history in the late 1920s, going on to break out as the lead in the Andy Hardy series of movies.


The Hollywood icon regularly collaborated with Judy Garland, was given an Academy Award while still a teen and was commonly thought the biggest box-office draw in films in the years before World War II.

Rooney starred in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with Audrey Hepburn, "National Velvet" with Elizabeth Taylor and more recently made appearances in hit movies such as "Night at the Museum" and "The Muppets".




Rooney won two Golden Globes and an Emmy Award.

He tied the knot eight times and had nine children.
