Craig Ferguson Leaves "Late Late Show"
Craig Ferguson is officially leaving the "Late Late Show."
On Monday, Ferguson, 51, broke the news to his studio audience that he will step down in December.
The talk show host's contract expires in 2015.
In a statement issued by the network, Ferguson was quoted as saying: "CBS and I are not getting divorced, we are "consciously uncoupling," but we will still spend holidays together and share custody of the fake horse and robot skeleton, both of whom we love very much."
Earlier this month, David Letterman announced his intention to retire.
No replacement for Ferguson has been made.
