Derek Jeter: "I'm Retiring After 2014"

Derek Jeter revealed on Wednesday that he will retire after the 2014 season.


Jeter, who has played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees, announced his plans in a long Facebook statement.

"The 2014 season will be my last year playing professional baseball," Jeter, 39, was quoted as saying.
