Bradley Cooper Gains 40 Pounds And A Beard (PHOTOS)

Bradley Cooper looks like a completely different person!  






To prepare for his character in "American Sniper", Cooper, 39, reportedly gained 40 pounds and has grown a beard.

Cooper's co-star, Eric Close, said of Cooper's transformation to E! News: "He put on like 40 pounds. He really takes this story personally and wants to do an honorable job for Chris' memory and for his family."

In the movie, directed by Clint Eastwood, Cooper plays the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who served in Iraq and became one of the most lethal snipers in the U.S. military.
