Pippa Middleton First TV Interview: "Kate And I Have Very Normal Relationship"
In a new interview with Matt Lauer, Pippa Middleton talked about her relationship with her sister Kate now that she is the Duchess of Cambridge.
In her first ever television interview, Middleton claimed her sister's 2011 Royal Wedding to Prince William has "not particularly" changed their bond.
Pippa pointed out that they have a "very normal, sisterly relationship."
"We're very close," Middleton was quoted as saying, noting: "And, you know, we support each other and get each other's opinions and things."
Pippa went on: "I mean, obviously she has pressures that she's taken on and things, but we spend a lot of time together."
"We still do a lot together as a family," Middleton revealed, adding: "And I think that's really the heart for all of us is having a really close family that we can sort of be normal with each other, treat each other normally. That's sort of kept us all, you know, affixed to the ground."
Pippa also referred to the U.S. after biking across 12 states for charity as a part of "Race Across America."
"Through the trip it was just amazing to go through so many different states and just see the diversity of the landscape, the countryside - it's huge," Pippa said of the experience.
"I love it - It's very friendly, very welcoming," Middleton gushed, adding: "And we felt that the entire way."
Middleton explained: "The scenery was incredible. And I think that's what lifted our spirits when it really hurt, sort of grinding on the bike, was to see everything around us. From the mountains, the desert - through the flat plains of Kansas."
Lauer's full interview with Pippa Middleton is scheduled to air on the "Today Show" on June 30 and July 1.
