Ariana Grande Grandfather's Death Revealed To Brother Frankie On "Big Brother" (VIDEO)

Ariana Grande's grandfather passed away on Tuesday and the devastating news has now made its way to her older brother Frankie, who is competing on "Big Brother."  



Grande, 21, tweeted on Wednesday that she and her family had intended to keep her brother uninformed, since communication with relatives is not allowed according to the CBS show's rules.

"Asked grandps last week if he wanted us to pull frankie off bb & he said "no way! he's gotta play the game even tho i don't understand it,"" Ariana wrote on twitter.



Hours later, producers announced the news to Frankie by passing along a note from his family.

It is not known who made the decision to make an exception to the show's procedures, which usually prohibit interference from the outside world in almost every occasion.






The live feed filming contestants showed Frankie burst into tears over the sad news and some of his housemates started crying as well.
