Richard Attenborough Dead At 90

After following a career as an actor in movies such as "The Great Escape" and "Brighton Rock", he became a remarkable film director, receiving two Academy awards for "Gandhi" in 1982.
Attenborough was the older brother of the naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough.
Attenborough's son revealed that his father died at lunchtime on Sunday.
In 2013 Attenborough stayed at a care home in west London, after suffering a stroke five years earlier that confined him to a wheelchair.
The director's family claimed last year that he never fully recovered from the stroke which left him in a coma for a couple of days.
It has to be noted that Richard Attenborough was the President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
