Robin Williams Hanged Himself With A Belt

Marin County police said in a statement at a press conference on Tuesday that Robin Williams died of an apparent hanging on Monday. He was 63.


Lt. Keith Boyd revealed to the media that the preliminary cause of death is asphyxia due to hanging.

According to Boyd, the legendary actor was discovered hanging, with a belt around his neck and the recognizable signs of death had set in. He was found clothed by his assistant and slightly suspended in a seated position.


Boyd claimed that there is an ongoing investigation into Williams' tragic passing and that toxicology tests will be conducted, which could last a few weeks.
