What Lady Gaga's father did recently?
Lady GaGa's Dad is opening a restaurant named in honour of his late sister Joanne.
GaGas and her parents became shareholders in Manhattan's Vince & Eddie's last year, but the Italian-American eatery has since closed down.
Whateves, it was all for the better cause now, GaGa's dad has now taken over the property and is set to reopen the venue under the new name of Joanne - a nod to his sister, who died of auto-immune disorder Lupus at the age of 19. Aw.
Sure, we'd would have liked a GaGa themed eatery, but we have no complaints about something this sweet and sentimental!
GaGa's aunt died years before she was even born, but the pop superstar has previously revealed she wears a special necklace in her memory. She said,
"My dad's sister Joanne died when she was 19. I wear a birth certificate of hers around my neck... I just feel very close to her. I actually pray to her (before every concert)... She died so young and she didn't get to live out the rest of her life, so I'm living it out for her."
Joe Germanotta is planning to launch the diner during America's Thanksgiving holiday next month with head chef Art Smith.
