Hugh Jackman dated actress Australian Deborra-Lee Furness. The two began dating after the they starred together in the Australian TV mystery series "Correlli" in 1995. On April 11, 1996, the couple wed at St. John's in Toorak, Victoria, using wedding bans with the inscription "Om paramar mainamar": "We dedicate our union to a greater source."

Following multiple miscarriages, the pair adopted two children: Ava Eliot and Oscar Maximillian.
