Liam Hemsworth Quotes

1. (on rejection) I'm nothing like my character in the film, not at all, to be honest. He's very persistent when Miley's character gives him the brush off. If I was to get turned down by a girl, I'd just give up and say: "Oh well." I don't have any of that kind of motivation to keep going. I would just be embarrassed and would try to never think about it again if I was to get turned down. I would find it humiliating.

2. One of the biggest inspirations before I started shooting came from my brother, when he texted me and said: "Hey, fatty, it's called "The Hunger Games", not "The Eating Games". So I started working out a lot more and eating a lot less.

3. I feel like the books were just written like a movie. You read it and you can just kind of see everything. Before I went in to read with the director, I read the first book and I loved it. I didn't realize how good the writing was. And then I went in and read with Gary Ross, and that was it.

4. (on Miley Cyrus) Miley's music will sneak in there every now and then. "The Climb" is good or "Party in the USA". Even better, I will just get her to sing to me while I work out!

5. My character's kind of grown up with Katniss. The beginning of the story, they're more or less brother and sister than anything. They're best friends. They've been keeping each other alive. It's a little frustrating, for the character. As the character, not as me.

8. The fans that I have met so far have been nothing but supportive and extremely passionate about the books. I feel so honored to meet all these people. Something like this, which I think is bigger than anyone in the film, it's pretty crazy.

9. (on Miley Cyrus) Working with Miley was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. From the first time we read, it was like I had known her before.

12. (on his relationship with Miley Cyrus) The main thing is that we know how we feel. We know what's going on. It can get complicated bringing the rest of the world into it.

13. If we get to shoot the third one, which I'm really hoping we do, the third one's great. There's a big uprising and rebellion, and my character Gale's a big part of that. If we get to shoot that, I'll be very, very pleased.

14. (on kissing Miley Cyrus while shooting the movie "The Last Song") I guess we did kiss a lot in the film. The hardest thing was the first kiss. Once you got that out of the way, kissing was fun.
