Phil Everly Of Everly Brothers Dead At 74

Phil Everly has passed away.


One half of The Everly Brothers, the musician died on Friday in Burbank, California.

He was 74.

According to his wife, Everly's passing was provoked by complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

"We are absolutely heartbroken," Patti Everly revealed to the Los Angeles Times, adding: "He fought long and hard."


The Everly Brothers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997.

Everly is survived by his brother Don, his two sons and other family members.
