Katherine Heigl Sues Duane Reade For $6 Million

Katherine Heigl is filing a lawsuit against Duane Reade for $6 million after the drug store chain shared on twitter a paparazzi snapshot of her carrying Duane Reade shopping bags and used it to promote the brand. 







Last month, a photographer snapped an image of Heigl, 35, after her shopping trip and the official @DuaneReade twitter account posted it with the caption: "Love a quick #DuaneReade run? Even @KatieHeigl can't resist shopping #NYC's favorite drugstore."

Now, Heigl is suing the company and seeking millions of bucks.

According to celebrity website TMZ, Heigl focuses on her high profile and fame in the court documents, claiming that she was unwittingly used to endorse Duane Reade.

Heigl revealed she will donate the monetary judgment to the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, devoted to animal welfare.
