Nicki Minaj Slammed By ADL For "Deeply Disturbing" Nazi Imagery In "Only" Video

The Anti-Defamation League is attacking Nicki Minaj for the "unadulterated Nazi imagery" in her new lyric video for "Only."

Just in case you have missed it, Minaj, 31, has been accused of apparently using symbols and more from Nazi-era Germany in the black and white clip that is reminiscent of propaganda movies.

The rapper, appearing in cartoon form, plays a dictator in front of soldiers with red arm bands similar to those worn by SS officers. Explosions, warfare and gas masks are evident in the footage, with an animated Chris Brown as a soldier, Drake as a priest and Lil Wayne as a businessman. Flags with an interlocking Y-M symbol (for the record label Young Money) are reminiscent of swastikas.

Needless to say, the ADL was "deeply disturbed." The organization's national director Abraham H. Foxman, a Holocaust survivor himself, said in a statement:

"Nicki Minaj's new video disturbingly evokes Third Reich propaganda and constitutes a new low for pop culture's exploitation of Nazi symbolism. The irony should be lost on no one that this video debuted on the 76th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the "night of broken glass" pogrom that signaled the beginning of the Final Solution and the Holocaust. It is troubling that no one among Minaj's group of producers, publicists and managers raised a red flag about the use of such imagery before ushering the video into public release. This video is insensitive to Holocaust survivors and a trivialization of the history of that era. The abuse of Nazi imagery is deeply disturbing and offensive to Jews and all those who can recall the sacrifices Americans and many others had to make as a result of Hitler's Nazi juggernaut."

Minaj has not commented yet about the situation.
