Amanda Peterson has died. She was 43.
Peterson's body was found out at her residence in Greeley, Colorado on Sunday after she was not heard from for several days.
"She had some illness and a sleep apnea problem that may have contributed," the actress' father told celebrity website TMZ.
The cause of death is unclear, but it was known that Amanda had dealt with a few medical problems over the past 2 years like pneumonia, sinusitis and sleep apnea.
Peterson was best known for her role as cheerleader Cindy Mancini in the 1987 comedy movie "Can't Buy Me Love". She also starred in the feature film "Explorers" with Ethan Hawke.
