Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter And Carey Mulligan Star In "Suffragette" Posters

Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter and Carey Mulligan are fighting for their rights in these brand new posters for their new drama movie "Suffragette".



"Suffragette" follows the story of Maud (Mulligan) who is a working wife and mom, whose life is forever changed when she is mysteriously recruited to join the U.K.'s growing suffragette movement. Aroused by the British suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst (Streep), Maud turns into an activist for the cause alongside females from all walks of life. When growingly hostile police action urges Maud and her dedicated fellow suffragettes underground, they get in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the authorities, who are surprised as the women's civil rebellion rises and stirs up debate across the nation.

The movie, which is directed by Sarah Gavron and written by Abi Morgan, is set to open on October 23 in limited release with a wider release planned for the weeks following.
