Little Mix Explain Why They Gave "Pretty Girls" To Britney Spears
The girls of Little Mix have recently opened up about why they gave away their song "Pretty Girls," which finally went to Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea.
The track was written by the ladies for their new album, but they scrapped it.
"We've been away a while because we wrote an album, sat with the record label and we thought: "Nope, it's not good enough"," band member Jesy Nelson, 23, said in an interview with The Sun, noting: "We recorded a whole album but we're perfectionists and knew we could do better. So we scrapped it and started again."
"We wrote it with Maegan Cottone, who we've written a lot of this album with," Jade Thirlwall, 22, explained, adding: "We loved the song but it wasn't really for us so we put it out there and, lo and behold, Britney wanted it."
