"General Hospital" Star Nancy Lee Grahn Slammed For Viola Davis Tweets
"General Hospital" star Nancy Lee Grahn has been attacked on social media for a claim she made about Viola Davis' acceptance speech at the 2015 Emmy Awards.
"I wish I loved #ViolaDavis Speech, but I thought she should have let @shondarhimes write it. #Emmys," Grahn, 57, wrote on her twitter account after the huge win.
In responses to fan comments, the actress also said: "Try being any woman in TV. Wish she'd brought every woman in the picture. I wish I'd opportunity to play roles she has gets… Harriet Tubman not equivalent to great roles Viola Davis hired 2play. She's made millions. It is unfair comparison."
Numerous fans blasted her for her remarks and she even became a national trending topic. After going back and forth with countless fans all night, Nancy offered a lengthy apology.
