Stone Temple Pilots Singer Scott Weiland Dead At 48
Scott Weiland, the former lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilots, has died. He was 48.
The sad news was tweeted by musician Dave Navarro on Thursday night.
"Just learned our friend Scott Weiland has died. So gutted, I am thinking of his family tonight," Navarro, 48, wrote on his twitter account.
According to celebrity website TMZ, Weiland was found in cardiac arrest on his tour bus in Bloomington, Minnesota, just before he was scheduled to hit the stage with his group "The Wildabouts".
Scott, who is known to have struggled with drug abuse issues in the past, also teamed up with the group Velvet Revolver.
