Kristen Bell Quotes

4. I've got more junk in the trunk than most 5-foot-1 blonde girls, and I like it.

5. I'm carded for R-rated movies. And I get talked down to a lot. When I try to go rent a car or buy an airplane ticket or other stuff adults do, I get "Okaaaaaay, honey." I remember when I was 18, getting crayons in a restaurant.

8. I'm more of a homebody. I'm constantly asked: "Why don't we see you out?" But that's not what drives me. I prefer to have people over - which I do a lot, because I bought a house that's way too big for me, and four of my friends live there.

9. I've been very lucky in the characters I've chosen. Up until last year I was a nobody. I did jobs I booked because I needed to put food in my mouth.

10. I'm not in the business of becoming famous. And that's the advice I give to younger aspiring actors. Work onstage and do the little roles. In the end it's not important to be seen. It's important to do. There's a lot of disappointment in this business, but my family keeps me grounded.

11. All girls hit that phase where they like the bad boy. I grew out of that really young and I have a wonderful guy in my life who's not a bad boy at all. I like the satiric, consistent nice guy.

12. I'm not recognized very often, and if I am, it's a die-hard Veronica Mars fan. Which is usually flattering and an honor. I really try not to think about it.

17. I can rock out anything. I mean, I can rock out a little "Time After Time". I can do a little "Grease Lightning". It depends on the mood, but we do go karaoke, my friends and I in Los Angeles, and it's a lot of fun.

18. Then the more I looked at the pic, I thought: "I look great!" I'm sorry for having human legs, made of muscle, skin and fat. Oops. Like I should be apologizing for that! I'm an actress.

19. I was initially intimidated, but then I got nervous and it sent me back to high school going: "Is everybody going to like me?" "How can I make everybody like me?" "Are there going to be too many personalities?" "Will this be a s*it storm?" But then, you get to set and realize they haven't been working for decades because they have bad personalities. They're awesome women, and it was just really interesting to work with them as peers.

20. This is not to be cocky, but, I go over real well at Comic-Con. I've done quite a few Comic-Cons, and I enjoy the hell out of them. They are so much fun, and so bizarre. I've done the FX Show in Florida, Wizard-World in Chicago, Comic-Con in San Diego, Wonder-Con in San Francisco, the Comic-Con in New York, and I've done them numerous times.

25. I'm very used to playing the tomboy or the sarcastic cynic. That's my go-to. Playing the vulnerable of a real girl that's in real womanlike situations, where it's romanticized, I'm a little nervous about it.

33. I'm always DVR'ing Jersey Shore, but I've never been ashamed to admit that. I probably should be ashamed to admit that, but I'm not. I think that it's one of the greatest disasters to ever come to television and I just love the lessons they learn each week and the trouble they get into.

34. I'm least proud of my ability to be lazy and procrastinate by spending time on my computer or in front of the TV, watching America's Funniest Home Videos, the greatest show on television. To anybody who pooh-poohs it, I say: "Just give it 30 minutes."

36. I don't think I have the stomach Veronica has. I think I have the determination and the stubbornness and a little bit of the go-get-em. But I think I'm about 20 percent more girl than Veronica is. There's a lot of Veronica that hits home with me, the sort of feisty area. But I think that I have a little bit more girl. I'd scream my head off if I saw a body in the freezer.

37. I have always been an animal lover. I had a hard time disassociating the animals I cuddled with - dogs and cats, for example - from the animals on my plate, and I never really cared for the taste of meat. I always loved my Brussels sprouts.

38. I've had a great ride these past couple of years, but I definitely have that "Never going to work again" syndrome. Those negative thoughts are constantly swirling in my head, and I don't think they ever really go away. But I'm very grateful for my career, and I'm very ambitious, very determined.

42. I love nerds. Comic-Con junkies are the tastemakers of tomorrow. Isn't that funny? The tables have turned.

43. I don't have the urge to ever get plastic surgery. I'm inspired by women like Annette Bening who are growing older gorgeously in Hollywood. I don't subscribe to the idea that aging is a bad thing. I'm extremely optimistic about what lies ahead of me. Look at Glenn Close, Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep, they're the best at what they do and beautiful too.

44. I have friends who wear Star Wars costumes and act like the characters all day. I may not be that deep into it, but there's something great about loving what you love and not caring if it's unpopular.

45. I'm not going to become anybody I don't want to become.

49. When I had the wig on I didn't even recognize myself in the mirror. I felt like another person. Now I'm over being blonde. If I'm well received as a brunette in Burlesque then maybe I'll go brunette in (real life)!

50. I don't think I'm a workaholic but currently, I feel like I'm at a really lovely place and I'm grateful to be where I am so I like working too, but I know what my priorities are.

51. I loved Veronica right off the bat. She was so strong and I think it is so important because there are so few shows that portray women, especially young women, as being strong and being able to stand up for themselves.

52. There's too many guys in my movies. For some reason I keep doing movies with all guys in. I need to find some girls because I feel like I'm missing out.

61. When I see something unjust, I have to intervene - it's hard for me to watch the underdog suffer.

62. I'd do pretty much anything to get back on stage. I'd like to develop a new musical. I nearly had a heart attack when I heard that they're developing John Waters' Cry-Baby because that is so amazing and super and wonderful and I wish that I could be involved. But it's not the right time and I understand that. But I hear things like that and I get that little tingle in my stomach.

63. I'm not homely enough to play the nerdy girl and not nearly pretty enough to play the pretty girl.

64. I'm an awful driver. I'm not going to lie about it. I'm not a good driver. I tried for a long time to pretend that I was. There's a lot of road rage and a lot of times it's directed at something I've done on the road.
