Jennie Garth: "New 90210 Cast Didn't Have Chemistry" (AUDIO)
Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling talked about their "Beverly Hills, 90210" cast mates - and likely teaming up with Shannen Doherty on their new ABC Family show "Mystery Girls" - during an interview on Tuesday's "Just Jenny" show on SiriusXM.
Garth and Spelling recalled about the good old days with radio host Jenny Hutt during a game of "90210-IT-ALL."
When asked to select a current actress to portray their legendary roles in a film, Spelling picked Kristin Chenoweth for the character of Donna Martin.
While Garth didn't answer the question, she pointed out that she would rather be stranded on an island with Doherty than former co-star Tiffani Amber Thiessen.
Both celebrities agreed it would be awesome to have Doherty make a guest appearance on "Mystery Girls."
"The original threesome," Spelling noted, adding: "Me, Jen and Shannen, that's how it should be on this show."
Afterwards, Garth revealed that the new "90210" cast didn't have the same spark as the series' original actors.
"That's an example of a cast that really didn't have that chemistry," Garth explained, stating: "It's hard to find actors who have that."
Garth added: "It's like lightning in a bottle, you either have it or you don't."
