Zendaya To Portray Aaliyah In Lifetime Movie

Zendaya is set to portray Aaliyah in an upcoming Lifetime movie.

The film "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B" will be based on the biography "Aaliyah: More Than a Woman".

Aaliyah was only 22 when she was killed in a plane crash in 2001.



Zendaya, 17, an actress singer best known for the Disney show "Shake It Up" and "Dancing with the Stars."


Zendaya dressed as Aaliyah for a Halloween party last October.

The movie will be filmed this summer and is scheduled to make its debut in the fall.
