Keke Palmer To Make Broadway Debut In "Cinderella"
Keke Palmer is set to make her Broadway debut in the title role of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella".
"I have an infinite amount of gratitude to show, I am thankful to be able to do this and excited for the discipline it will bring," Palmer, 21, said in a statement about her new character.
Palmer will be the youngest female to portray Cinderella on Broadway. She is also the first African-American woman to play the part on stage. The production had Carly Rae Jepsen starring in the leading role before, which was originated by Laura Osnes.
Palmer is beginning on Broadway on September 9.
