Randy Quaid And Wife Taken Into Custody While Trying To Enter The United States
Randy Quaid is photographed by the Vermont State Police while standing in the barracks on Friday in St. Albans, Vermont.
Quaid, 65, and his wife Evi Quaid were both taken into custody when they attempted crossing the border from Canada into the USA.
The two fled the United States after they didn't attend some court appearances for felony vandalism charges filed in 2010.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, they had been discovered squatting in the guest house of a home they once owned.
Evi was granted citizenship after they reached Canada, but the actor was refused permanent residency and he was facing deportation from the country next week.
The pair is currently in the United States. They are being held, however, in separate correctional centers with bail set at $500,000 each.
Randy Quaid, who is the older brother of Dennis Quaid, is best known for starring in the films "Independence Day" and "National Lampoon's Vacation".
