Kerry Washington's Husband Nnamdi Asomugha Facts
Kerry Washington's secret marriage to football player Nnamdi Asomugha came as a shock to fans, most of whom didn't have the slightest idea they were dating until after their June 24 wedding was revealed on July 3.
Washington, 36, has been silent about her private life ever since separating from fiance David Moscow in 2007.

1. Asomugha, 31, was born in Nigeria but grew up in Southern California where his parents chose to relocate after leaving Nigeria.
2. The footballer has also tried his hand at acting, starring in the television series "The Game" as well as brief appearances on "Friday Night Lights" and "Leverage. In detail, according to IMDB, he made his professional acting debut in 2008 on the CW sitcom "The Game". That was followed by a role on the season four premiere of "Friday Night Lights". And last fall, he made an appearance alongside Bruce Willis, Josh Duhamel, and Rosario Dawson in the film "Fire With Fire". He also wrote, produced and starred in a short film called "Double Negative".
3. He created the "Asomugha College Tour for Scholars" program. Through the program he takes San Francisco Bay area student on an all-expenses-paid college tour to several cities. All they must do is meet his set GPA and leadership requirements.
4. Asomugha has a degree in corporate finance from the University of California-Berkley.
5. He just signed with the 49ers earlier this year after playing with both the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles.
6. Asomugha serves as chairman of his family's charity, the Orphans and Widows In Need Foundation. Through the organization they offer financial assistance, medicine, shelter and food to both orphans and widows in Nigeria.
