Denzel Washington Returns To Broadway With "A Raisin In The Sun"

Denzel Washington is headed back to Broadway.


Washington, 58, will star in a revival of Lorraine Hansberry's classic play, "A Raisin In The Sun."

At the Monday premiere of his latest movie "2 Guns", the Oscar winner claimed the theatrical drama, about an African-American family's struggles in postwar Chicago, will begin previews in March 2014.

Washington previously won a Tony Award for his performance in a 2010 revival of August Wilson's "Fences."


Denzel also starred in the title role of "Julius Caesar" in 2005.

The new "A Raisin In The Sun" revival will come ten years after the play was last on Broadway, in a version starring Sean "Diddy" Combs.
